Admissions Guidelines for Gannon Online Programs


On this page, you will find the specific admissions criteria and requirements for each online program at Gannon University.

RN-Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Applicants must have a current registered nurse license and have completed the following high school prerequisite courses with grades of at least “C”: two college prep math courses (Algebra 1 and Algebra II, Geometry); and two science courses, which must be  biology with a lab component and chemistry with a lab component. In addition, applicants must have earned at least a 2.8 QPA during their ADN program. Evidence of work history as a registered nursing full-time for a minimum of 6 months is preferred.

Applicants must submit the following:

  • A completed application
  • Three professional letters of recommendation
  • Proof of current registered nurse license
  • Official transcripts from all prior institutions attended
  • Resume
  • Personal Statement

Master of Business Administration
Admission requirements for all applicants:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from an accredited college or university
  • GMAT scores (this requirement is waived for applicants with an undergraduate GPA of 3.2 or higher in a business discipline)
  • A completed application for admission
  • A complete resume
  • Official transcripts from all prior institutions
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • TOEFL scores if English is not a first language

Applicants who do not have a 3.2 undergraduate GPA and choose not to take the GMAT have the option of being admitted as a "provisional accept."

Master of Public Administration
Admission requirements for all applicants:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from an accredited college or university
  • A completed application for admission
  • Transcripts from all prior institutions attended
  • TOEFL scores if English is not a first language
  • GRE scores (this requirement is waived for applicants with an undergraduate GPA of 3.2 or higher)
  • Three letters of recommendation

Applicants who do not have a 3.2 undergraduate GPA and choose not to take the GRE have the option of being admitted as a "provisional accept."

Gannon University is currently not accepting applications for our online programs from people residing in the following states: Alabama, Kansas, Maryland, Minnesota, North Dakota and Wisconsin.
